“In the great majority of cases, there is no original musical event that a record records or reproduces. Instead, each playing of a given record is an instance of something timeless. The original musical event never occurred; it exists, if it exists anywhere, outside history."
–Evan Eisenberg, The recording Angel, 1986
“Ultimately, therefore, it is perhaps best to
just accept that live music and recorded
music are two different phenomena …. The recording engineer may be able to pin the butterfly to the disc, but it sure doesn't fly any more. For a recording to make the grade as a work of art, therefore, more is needed than merely darkly echoing the original event.”
-John Atkinson, Stereophile. Feb. 2010
We should admit that assertions above are
still right from some aspects. However, we
know there has been so many wonderful
progresses in high-end audio industry during ‘1986~2010’ actually. So many attempts have been done until today. We believe that we are getting closer to real picture of real music. We are not too far from real world of music. Convergence to absolute reality does matter in this field. We should destroyed tons of prototypes upon making Hemingway Cables. We don’t want to lose every details of music.
-‘God lives in details’
Over the past 10 years, many prototypes and plans of ours had been destroyed upon testing but the history itself made us give birth to Hemingway Series. Through Hemingway Cables, you can come closer to real music than ever, we guarantee.
